Vic Cabrera is a writer, director and producer with a strong background in the entertainment industry.
Born in Cuba, Vic and his family immigrated to the United States when he was seven years old, eventually settling in Hoboken, New Jersey – where he replaced any trace of his Cuban accent with a Jersey one.
Mr. Cabrera speaks fluent Spanish and attended NYU’s esteemed film school, where he earned a degree in film and television with an emphasis in psychology. He recently concluded 20 years at NBC/KNBC where he was a Staff Director and worked on a number of live and taped shows.

My Cuban Story - Funny Memories from Serious Times... begins with the Cabrera family in Cuba during the revolution, their escape to Spain, then New York and finally, their assimilation in Hoboken, which was challenging and often comical. Situations that seemed insurmountable then, are funny in retrospect… now that I know the ending!
