Pick a Spock, Any Spock

Picture
Martin Landau.

The actor felt the role would be too lacking in rage and might typecast him. He accepted a starring role on Mission:  Impossible instead, as a master of disguise – there could be no typecasting there – and won an Emmy for his work. Of course, there’s more to the story. In fact, there was another actor who was offered the role before Nimoy, and we expect you’ll never guess who. But you can find out about this and read hundreds of other never-before-told stories in These are the Voyages — TOS, Season One, to be published by Jacobs/Brown Press in July 2013.
