Bill Resto

Picture
Bill Resto is San Diego's premier portrait photographer and digital artist. His work has been used in a wide range of venues from the Make A Wish Foundation to commercial productions. You can view Bill Resto's work here.

An Emotional Exposure

Picture
Bill Resto is a self- taught photographer and artist. He learned his craft by studying the work of varied artists throughout the world. He is obsessed with creating art in collaboration with his models and he seeks models that have a passion for exploration and honest expression. Together, they explore movement and story.

But much of his work is accomplished after the photo session. When he is struck by the feel of a photograph he begins to story board the piece. Pictures evolve. Bill uses the raw image like a nearly blank canvas. He is obsessed with color, palette, texture, mood and light and he often ruminates for days over minor details the casual observer will never see.

An Emotional Exposure is Bill Resto's first volume of collected works and available for sale at Blurb.
